Die Band Tristano Unchained lebt von der musikalische Klasse der fünf Individuen und der besonderen Konstellation dieser Persönlichkeiten: Bossert, Schmid, Rückert, Lennig und Smock – eine hochkarätige Besetzung.
Lennie Tristano entwickelte in den 40er-Jahren eine eigene musikalische Sprache und hielt diese in seinen radikalen Kompositionen fest – meist basierend auf klassischen Jazzstandards.
Tristano Unchained bringt diesen musikalischen Ansatz in die Gegenwart und präsentiert neue musikalische Portale zwischen aktuellen stilistischen Strömungen und den klassischen Kompositionen des Great American Songbook.
Im heutigen livestream aus dem LOFT werden sie Zeuge der Aufnahmen für die Debüt-CD „Tristano Unchained – Wild Horses“.

Tristano Unchained lives from the musical expertise of the five individuals and the special constellation of these personalities: Bossert, Schmid, Rückert, Lennig and Smock – a top-class line-up.
Lennie Tristano developed his own musical language in the 1940s and captured it in his radical compositions – mostly based on classical jazz standards.
Tristano Unchained brings this musical approach into the present, presenting new musical portals between current stylistic trends and the classic compositions of the Great American Songbook.
