The two musicians Darius Heid and Victor Fox met about five years ago and have been playing together as a duo ever since.
An important theme of their musical work is experimenting with textures, exploring new sounds and structures in their interplay.
The unstoppable exploration and affinity for the unknown/unheard are important drives of their playing together.
“For this concert we have invited Emily Wittbrodt, an outstanding cellist who is particularly effective in New Improvisational Music. Our instrumentarium is to be complemented by a cello, because the cello carries with it a unique reserve of timbres throughout the history of notated music. As Emily Wittbrodt brings a classical background while developing her own individual sound language, we look forward to an exciting, “unheard“ exchange at the LOFT.“
