– the Multiple Joy[ce] Orchestra, probably the most amazing orchestra in the universe, or at least beyond the Rhine, delights all music seekers with a new venture. In front of the eyes of the soulful listeners, the latest and sometimes even the old is served up or reanimated in a refreshing way. One suicide mission follows the next. The composers are right up to date.
Instructions given to the performers via screen, monitor or sheet music are negotiated in situ, read off, partially understood, actively misunderstood or ignored, and almost always realised better than the composer intended.
This time, compositions by Schubert Matthias, Gratkowski Frank and Hübsch Carl Ludwig are put in the right light by a musical firework display by Gramss Sebastian, before being played to ashes in the hands of Cologne’s most ingenious musicians.
