Bisher standen die Monday Meetings unter dem Motto der (Neu)Begegnung.
Mit Neuzuwachs im Kurator:innenteam wird das Konzept in diesem Jahr erweitert um einen “außermusikalischen” Aspekt: die eingeladenen Künstler:innen dürfen sich – zusätzlich zum Konzertteil – jeweils Vortragsgäste aussuchen, die sie mit ihrer Musik verknüpfen oder die ein Thema behandeln, das sie beschäftigt.

Friede Merz ist Vokalistin, Gitarristin, Songwriterin und Aktivistin. Neben diversen Bands wie alle bilder, Ensemble O. und carebender, spielt sie unter eigenem Namen mit unterschiedlichen Besetzungen ihre Songs.
Mit ihrem Debüt Denmark Street/ Daisy Lane brachte sie auch Albion in die Welt, bis heute ihre meist gehörte Single. Mit Berlin 2020 schrieb sie eine Hymne an die geliebte queerfeministische, sex-positive Berliner Clubszene. Ein Song, der nicht nur sie selbst durch die Pandemie trug.
Für dieses Konzert gewährt Friede Einblicke in neues Material, neue Songs und neue Räume.

Gorjeoux Moon ist multidisziplinäre Künstlerin, Poetin, Musikerin, Songwriterin, Fotografin, Denkerin. Sie ist Teil des Orga-Teams der Unicorn Open Mic, eine wöchentliche queer feministische offene Bühne sowie Teil des Kollektivs ASAP – as safe as possible – Berlin, welche sich mit dem Thema Safer Spaces auseinandersetzt.
Sie beschäftigt sich in vielen Teilen ihrer Poesie und anderer Schriften auch mit Themen wie Grenzüberschreitungen, Gewalt und Missbrauch, sowie Sucht und Genesung, Trauma und Heilung, und queerness in art and in this world.

So far, the Monday Meetings have been held under the motto of (re)encounters.
With the addition of new members to the curatorial team, the concept will be expanded this year to include an „extra-musical“ aspect: in addition to the concert part, the invited artists will be able to choose guests for lectures who they associate with their music or who deal with a topic that concerns them.

Friede Merz is a vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and activist. In addition to various bands such as alle bilder, Ensemble O. and carebender, she performs her songs under her own name with different lineups.

Gorjeoux Moon is multidisciplinary artist, poet, musician, songwriter, photographer, thinker. She is part of the orga team of Unicorn Open Mic, a weekly queer feminist open stage as well as part of the collective ASAP – as safe as possible – Berlin, which deals with the topic of safer spaces.
She also explores themes of boundary transgression, violence and abuse, as well as addiction and recovery, trauma and healing, and queerness in art and in this world in much of her poetry and other writing.
