Indische klassische Musik ist eine Form improvisierter Musik mit einem tiefen introspektiven und meditativen Aspekt, der dennoch ekstatisch und berauschend ist. Für die Musiker*innen ist es ein Prozess der inneren Forschung und des Strebens nach der Verbindung mit sich selbst. Ein einzigartiger Aspekt dieser Musik ist die Verwendung von Mikrotönen in der Oktave in ihrer Gesamtheit und das Spiel mit Poly-Rhythmen. Eine der komplexen und weiterentwickelten melodischen und rhythmischen Traditionen, die auf einfache Weise palettiert wurden und das Publikum sofort ansprechen. Der Zuhörer wird verfolgt, um eine Reise nach innen zu unternehmen.

Als einer der gefragtesten Tabla-Spieler in Deutschland gehört Arup zur zweiten Generation von Indern mit Sitz in Deutschland. Er hat mit mehreren erfahrenen Künstlern aufgenommen und gespielt und war bei Aufnahmen für verschiedene Radiosender wie BR (Bayerischer Rundfunk), WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) und BRF (Belgischer Rundfunk) zu hören.

Der Sitarist und Komponist Hindol erkundet die unendlichen Kombinationen indischer Musik mit verschiedenen Genres und tritt auf verschiedenen Festivals und Veranstaltungsorten auf. Da er sich bewusst ist, dass die indische Klassik eines der Genres ist, in denen alle Mikrotöne zwischen einer Oktave verwendet werden, verwebt er ein wunderschönes melodisches Web durch verschiedene Ragas und Rhythmen und schafft so eine meditative und dennoch ekstatische Atmosphäre. Mit einer hohen technischen Finesse und Kenntnis verschiedener Ragas und ihrer Auswirkungen auf Geist und Psyche verbindet er sie in einer Aufführung, um den Hörern ein einzigartiges Musikerlebnis zu bieten. Er unterrichtet an der Pop Academy Mannheim und leitet Sitar-Unterricht und Workshops zu klassischer indischer Musik, Improvisation und Interpretation indischer Musik im westlichen Musikkontext.

Indian classical music is a form of improvised music with a deep introspective and meditative aspect yet ecstatic and exhilarating. To the performer it is a process of inward research and quest to connect with self-realization. A unique aspect of this music is the usage of Microtones in the Octave in their entirety and the play with poly-rhythms. One of the complex and evolved melodic and rhythmic traditions paletted in a simple way immediately appealing to the audience. The listener is pursued to go into a journey within.

As one of the most sought-after tabla players in Germany, Arup belongs to the second generation of Indians based in Germany. He has recorded and played with several experienced artists and has been heard on recordings for various radio stations such as BR (Bayerischer Rundfunk), WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) and BRF (Belgian Radio).

Sitarist and Composer Hindol explores the infinite combinations of Indian music with various genres and performed at various festivals and venues. Being aware that Indian classical is one of the genres using all the microtones between an Octave, he weaves beautiful melodic Web through different Ragas and Rhythms creating a meditative yet ecstatic atmosphere. With a high technical finesse and Knowledge of different Ragas and their effects on the Mind and Psyche, in a performance he binds them together to give a unique musical experience to the listeners. He teaches at the Pop Academy Mannheim and conducts sitar lessons and workshops on classical Indian music, improvisation and interpretation of Indian music in the Western musical context.
