Anaphora ist ein musikalischer Organismus, der sich auf Improvisationsforschung konzentriert.
Spannungslinien werden zwischen einem Diagramm von Körpern aufgebaut, die sich auf ihren Instrumenten improvisieren. Produktion von Klängen. Reaktion. Und der Organismus bewegt sich. Er dehnt sich aus oder entspannt sich, je nach den körperlichen und akustischen Impulsen, die ihn strukturieren.

Anaphora hat im April 2022 sein Debütalbum Lexicon I (Auand Records) veröffentlicht, das international positive Kritiken erhalten hat (Best of Jazz US, Jazz Magazine France etc.).
Während einer Residency bei Jazz Station, die vom flämischen VGC unterstützt wurde, bereitete Anaphora brandneues Material vor, das sie im italienischen Kulturinstitut präsentierte.
Die Band hat den 2. Preis des Krokus Jazz Festivals gewonnen und gehört zu den Empfängern des Italy Music Export 2022.

Marco für seine langjährige Zusammenarbeit mit Federico Calcagno in der Gruppe Masnä und Fade In Trio (Clean Feed) bekannt.
Filippo hat für die Jugendabteilung des französischen „Orchestre National du Jazz“ komponiert, seine Arbeit mit dem Domen Cizej Duo (Percussion, präpariertes Klavier) wird auf Clean Feed veröffentlicht.

Lexicon 1 is the debut album by the trio Anaphora, led by pianist Filippo Deorsola, with Jonathan Ho Chin Kiat on bass, and Ap Verhoeven on drums. At first, the music evokes Punkt.Vrt.Plastik, but it quickly heads towards another kind of experience. Anaphora switches and mixes several genres and rhythms in an incredibly mastered and enjoyable way, thereby managing to create their own uniqueness.
