The Philip Zoubek Trio is celebrating its tenth anniversary at the LOFT, presenting a new program and its upcoming album, Enigma. Since its founding and the release of six albums, the ensemble has developed a unique, contemporary approach to the classic piano, bass, and drums lineup – expanded to include prepared piano, synthesizers, effects pedals, xylophone, and other sonic elements.

At the heart of their music is the organic interplay of three musicians, in which composition and improvisation intertwine seamlessly. Acoustic and electronic sounds do not meet as separate worlds, but rather create a productive tension: they color, challenge, and transform one another.
