Das Tango Jazz Quartet aus Argentinien (TJQ) ist ein Vorreiter bei der Schaffung eines neuen Klangs im Tango, indem es dessen Melodien und Rhythmen mit der Harmonie und Improvisation des Jazz verbindet.

Nach 31 internationalen Tourneen hat sich das TJQ in der internationalen Musikszene etabliert. Die Gruppe trat in Europa (18 Tourneen), den Vereinigten Staaten (3 Tourneen), China-Hongkong (1 Tournee), Russland-Sibirien (1 Tournee), Afrika (3 Tourneen) und Brasilien (5 Tourneen) auf.
Mit fünf veröffentlichten Alben ist das TJQ nicht nur als Quartett aufgetreten, sondern auch in Konzerten mit Jazz-Bigbands und Sinfonieorchestern. Sie haben mit renommierten Musikern wie Richard Galliano, Delfei Marsalis, Vince Giordano und vielen anderen zusammengearbeitet.
Das TJQ zeichnet sich durch seinen innovativen Ansatz bei der Interpretation argentinischer Populärmusik sowie durch seine ständige Aktivität und Innovation in seinem musikalischen Angebot aus. Die Musik des Quartetts reicht vom traditionellen Tango bis zur Musik von Astor Piazzolla, ohne dabei jemals den Bereich des Jazz zu verlassen.

With five albums released, TJQ has performed not only as a quartet but also in concerts with Jazz Big Bands and symphony orchestras. They have collaborated with renowned musicians such as Richard Galliano, Delfei Marsalis, Vince Giordano, and many more.
TJQ is distinguished by its innovative approach to interpreting Argentine Popular Music and by its constant activity and innovation in its musical offerings. The music of the Quartet ranges from traditional tango to the music of Astor Piazzolla, without ever abandoning the realm of jazz.
