Surensemble, die facettenreiche Latin-Jazz-Band mit einer Leidenschaft für die Erkundung musikalischer Grenzen, wird an diesem Abend ihr lang ersehnten Albums Stay Together erstmalig dem Publikum präsentieren.
Stay Together ist ein eindrucksvolles Zeugnis für die stetige künstlerische Entwicklung der Band und präsentiert eine gelungene Verschmelzung von traditionellen Klängen aus Südamerika mit zeitgenössischem Jazz.

Geleitet von Schlagzeuger Pablo Sáez, zeichnet sich der unverwechselbare Klang von Surensemble durch ihre talentierten Gitarristen aus und erschafft eine vielfältige musikalische Landschaft. Auf diesem Album wird die Rhythmusgruppe um Flöte, Saxophon, Trompete und Posaune erweitert, was der Musik eine zusätzliche Tiefe verleiht. Neben lateinamerikanischer Percussion aus Ländern wie Chile, Brasilien und Peru fügen sie geschickt elektronische Elemente hinzu, wobei Samples eine wichtige Rolle in der Soundgestaltung spielen.

Ein besonderes Highlight von Stay Together ist die Zusammenarbeit mit der angesehenen italienischen Philosophin Donatella di Cesare, die der Musik eine einzigartige philosophische Dimension hinzufügt. Außerdem wird das Album durch die eindrucksvolle Stimme von Niel de Grace Tyson bereichert, die speziell für dieses Projekt aufgenommen wurde.

Die Songs auf Stay Together sind von den Einflüssen des Latin Jazz durchzogen und präsentieren großzügige Arrangements mit einer rhythmischen Eleganz. Die Fähigkeit der Band, afroamerikanische Wurzeln und folkloristische Nuancen in den zeitgenössischen Fusion-Jazz der 70er Jahre zu integrieren, ist bemerkenswert.

Pünktlich zum Konzert am 1. Dezember 2023 wird die erste Single Deconstruido exklusiv auf Bandcamp veröffentlicht, das vollständige Album wird im Frühling 2024 auf allen Streaming-Plattformen verfügbar sein.

Surensemble, the multi-faceted Latin jazz band with a passion for exploring musical boundaries, will present their long-awaited album Stay Together to the audience for the first time this evening.
Stay Together is an impressive testimony to the band’s constant artistic development and presents a successful fusion of traditional sounds from South America with contemporary jazz.

Led by drummer Pablo Sáez, Surensemble’s distinctive sound is characterized by their talented guitarists, creating a diverse musical landscape. On this album, the rhythm section is expanded to include flute, saxophone, trumpet and trombone, adding depth to the music. Alongside Latin American percussion from countries such as Chile, Brazil and Peru, they cleverly add electronic elements, with samples playing an important role in the sound design.

A particular highlight of Stay Together is the collaboration with respected Italian philosopher Donatella di Cesare, who adds a unique philosophical dimension to the music. The album is also enriched by the impressive voice of Niel de Grace Tyson, which was recorded especially for this project.

The songs on Stay Together are infused with the influences of Latin jazz and present generous arrangements with a rhythmic elegance. The band’s ability to integrate African-American roots and folkloric nuances into the contemporary fusion jazz of the 70s is remarkable.

Just in time for the concert on December 1st, the first single Deconstruido will be released exclusively on Bandcamp, the full album will be available on all streaming platforms in spring 2024.
