In seinem aktuellen Solo-Programm erweitert Stefan Schultze den Flügel zunehmend zu einem hybriden musikalischen System. Ausgehend vom eigenen Spiel treten präpariertes Klavier, Selbstspielmechanismus, Lautsprecher, virtuelle Klaviere, Live-Processing und eigens entwickelte Sample-Libraries hinzu. Dabei verschiebt sich das klassische Solokonzert immer weiter hin zu einem Zusammenspiel von menschlichem Spiel, mechanischen Aktionen und digitalen Prozessen.
Im LOFT präsentiert Schultze neue Kompositionen und Prototypen aus diesem fortlaufenden Entwicklungsprozess sowie neue Fassungen von Material der Soloalben Glitch God, Come Hither, Tides und RMPX:SHRD01. Zwischen komponierter Form und improvisatorischem Eingriff entsteht so ein Instrumentarium, das zunehmend als zusammenhängendes System agiert.

In his current solo program, Stefan Schultze is increasingly expanding the grand piano into a hybrid musical system. Building on his own playing, he incorporates a prepared piano, an autopilot mechanism, speakers, virtual pianos, live processing, and sample libraries he developed himself. In the process, the classical solo concert is shifting further and further toward an interplay of human performance, mechanical actions, and digital processes.
At the LOFT, Schultze presents new compositions and prototypes from this ongoing development process, as well as new versions of material from the solo albums Glitch God, Come Hither, Tides, and RMPX:SHRD01. Between composed form and improvisational intervention, a set of instruments emerges that increasingly functions as a cohesive system.
