Am 27. Juni 2025 erschien Underwater Consciousness – das hochgelobte Duo-Album der Pianist*innen Kirke Karja und Felix Hauptmann (Album of the Month, 10/2025 Jazzpodium) – auf Boomslang Records.
Auf dem live-Mitschnitt eines Konzertes aus dem LOFT vom 4. Januar 2024  verwischen die Grenzen zwischen freier Improvisation und spontaner Komposition, das Album fängt die Erkundung von texturaler Tiefe, rhythmischer Komplexität und geschichteten Strukturen in einem zarten, zugleich fesselnden Klavierdialog ein.
Die Musik von Karja und Hauptmann entspringt einem gemeinsamen rhythmischen Empfinden und zieht die Hörer*innen in immersive Klanglandschaften voller Dringlichkeit und Introspektion.
