Das Trio bringt Philip Golub (Brooklyn), Roger Kintopf (Köln) und Samuel Ber (Paris/Brüssel) zusammen. Drei der markantesten Musiker einer transatlantischen Jazzszene, die Grenzen zwischen Komposition und Improvisation längst als produktive Reibungsfläche begreift.
Ihre Musik entfaltet sich im Spannungsfeld zwischen festgeschriebener Struktur und offenem Moment. Die Kompositionen aller drei Musiker dienen dabei nicht als vorgefertigte Aussagen, sondern als Entdeckungsrahmen für eine Klangsprache, die sich im gemeinsamen Spiel zu einem eigenständigen Bandsound verdichtet.
