Der brasilianische Bassist und Sänger Frederico Heliodoro bringt den Sound von Rio de Janeiro nach Köln. Gemeinsam mit drei Kölner Musikern interpretiert er seine eigenen Stücke neu – ein Abend voller Improvisation und brasilianischem Groove.

Frederico Heliodoro wurde am 2. September 1987 in Rio de Janeiro geboren und verbrachte seine Jugend in Belo Horizonte, wo er seine künstlerische Laufbahn begann. Nach einigen Jahren in São Paulo zog Heliodoro zurück nach Rio, wo er derzeit lebt.
Heliodoro nahm an Milton Nascimentos Tournee A Última Sessão de Música teil und hat als Bassist und/oder Gastkünstler mit Kurt Rosenwinkel, Pedro Martins, Louis Cole, Shin Sasakubo, Bala Desejo und Roberto Gatto zusammengearbeitet.
Als Multiinstrumentalist, Produzent und Komponist begann Heliodoro seine Karriere 1999 in Belo Horizonte. Er wurde zweimal von BDMG Cultural ausgezeichnet – „Young Instrumentalism 2007“ & „BDMG Instrumental 2009“.
Er veröffentlichte 2011 sein erstes Album und hat mittlerweile neun eigene Projekte in seinem Katalog sowie bedeutende Produktionen für die lokale Musikszene im Südosten Brasiliens, darunter für Mahmundi, Gabriel Bruce, Affonsinho und Paulo Nazareth.

Brazilian bassist and singer Frederico Heliodoro joins forces with three musicians from Cologne for an evening of original music and intercultural exchange.
Born on September 2, 1987, in Rio de Janeiro, Frederico Heliodoro spent his youth in Belo Horizonte, where he became an artist. After a few years in São Paulo, Heliodoro moved back to Rio, where he currently lives.
Heliodoro participated in Milton Nascimento’s tour A Última Sessão de Música and has worked with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Pedro Martins, Louis Cole, Shin Sasakubo, Bala Desejo, and Roberto Gatto as a bassist and/or guest artist.
A multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer, Heliodoro began his career in 1999 in Belo Horizonte. He was twice awarded by BDMG Cultural – „Young Instrumentalist 2007″ / „BDMG Instrumental 2009„.
He released his first album in 2011 and now has nine original projects in his catalog, as well as significant productions for the local music scene in southeastern Brazil, including Mahmundi, Gabriel Bruce, Affonsinho, and Paulo Nazareth.
