Jeremy Harman ist Associate Professor of cello am Berklee College of Music Boston, Cellist des Sirius Quartet und als Improvisator und Komponist im Jazz und einem breiten Spektrum der Populären Musik zuhause. Seit 2020 ist er Artistic Director des New Directions Cello Festival.
Auf dem Programm stehen Kompositionen und Arrangements von Jeremy Harman und Gunther Tiedemann.
In der Streicher Bigband der HfMT kommen Streicher*innen aller Studiengänge zusammen, in denen man ein Streichinstrument als Hauptfach studieren kann, um in Projektphasen ein Konzert auf die Bühne zu bringen. Sie spielte seit 2008 Konzerte in der HfMT, dem Loft, dem Stadtgarten, dem Alten Pfandhaus und dem Italienischen Kulturinstitut Köln mit Markus Stockhausen, Stephen Katz (USA), Ernst Reijseger (NL) & Roger Hanschel, Chris Haigh & Rupert Gillett (GB), Yaniel Matos (Kuba), David Plate und den Bands The Gust (NL) und Lychee Lassi.

Jeremy Harman is Associate Professor of cello at Berklee College of Music Boston, cellist of the Sirius Quartet and at home as an improviser and composer in jazz and a broad spectrum of popular music. He has been Artistic Director of the New Directions Cello Festival since 2020.
The program includes compositions and arrangements by Jeremy Harman and Gunther Tiedemann.
The HfMT String Big Band brings together string players from all degree programs in which a string instrument can be studied as a major subject to perform a concert in project phases. Since 2008, it has played concerts at the HfMT, the Loft, the Stadtgarten, the Altes Pfandhaus and the Italian Cultural Institute Cologne with Markus Stockhausen, Stephen Katz (USA), Ernst Reijseger (NL) & Roger Hanschel, Chris Haigh & Rupert Gillett (GB), Yaniel Matos (Cuba), David Plate and the bands The Gust (NL) and Lychee Lassi.
