Ein über Jahre gewachsenes menschliches und musikalisches Vertrauen zeichnet KROM aus, weil die sieben Kollektivist:innen aus vier Ländern gleichermaßen Bandleader wie Side(wo)men in den Projekten sind. Durchlässigkeit ist bei ihnen nicht zufällig. Vielmehr geht es darum, sich gegenseitig zu inspirieren und herauszufordern. Die KROMist:innen sind Fabian Dudek (Saxofon), Victor Fox (Saxofon), Felix Hauptmann (Piano), Kirke Karja (Piano), Roger Kintopf (Bass), Julia Sanjurjo (Gesang) und Tizia Zimmermann (Akkordeon). Victor Fox spielt Tenorsaxofon. Seinen Aliasnamen Big Breeezy hat er sich zugelegt, als er pausenlos Zirkularatmung (Englisch: Circular breathing) geübt hat. Daraus ist Big Breathing geworden, später Big Breezy. Mit diesem Namen kann er jede Rolle einnehmen, die gerade zu ihm passt. Mit den Toxic Twinz aka Fabian Dudek (Midisaxofon) und Alex Parzhuber (Elektronik) präsentiert er nun eine rein digital-elektronische Musik. Schubladen kennen die drei nicht. Ihnen geht es ums Ausprobieren und Experimentieren, die Musik kann laut, schnell, schön, schrill oder leise sein, manchmal darf sie auch alles gleichzeitig sein.

Das Set ist Teil eines Triplekonzerts: 19:00 Uhr Chaerin Im & Fabian Dudek, ca. 20:00 Uhr Julia Sanjurjo, ca. 21:00 Uhr Big Breeezy & the TOXIC TWINZ.

KROM is defined by a sense of personal and musical trust that has grown over the years, as the seven musicians from four countries play both as bandleaders and as sidemen in their projects. This fluid dynamic is no accident; rather, it is about inspiring and challenging one another. The members of KROM are Fabian Dudek (saxophone), Victor Fox (saxophone), Felix Hauptmann (piano), Kirke Karja (piano), Roger Kintopf (bass), Julia Sanjurjo (vocals), and Tizia Zimmermann (accordion). Victor Fox plays the tenor saxophone. He adopted his alias, Big Breezy, while practicing circular breathing nonstop. That became Big Breathing, and later Big Breeezy. With this name, he can take on any role that suits him at the moment. With the Toxic Twinz—aka Fabian Dudek (alto saxophone) and Alex Parzhuber (electronics)—he now presents purely digital-electronic music. The three of them don’t know any boundaries. They’re all about trying things out and experimenting; the music can be loud, fast, beautiful, shrill, or quiet—sometimes it can even be all of those things at once.
