DESCRIPTION:Philip Zoubek – piano\nStefan Schönegg – Kontrabass\nEtienne Nillesen – Snare Drums & Becken \n\nIMPAKT Köln präsentiert eine Working Band aus eigenen Reihen im Klaviertrioformat. Zoubek\, Schönegg und Nillesen spielen improvisierte Musik am Zahn der Zeit: Zoubeks vielschichtige Klavierklänge\, von perkussiv-geräuschhaft bis elektronisch anmutend treffen auf Nillesens facettenreiches Schlagzeugspiel\, reduziert auf zwei Snaredrums und Becken. Beide Ausnahmemusiker der Kölner Improvisationsszene präparieren ihre Instrumente kunstvoll und ideenreich und erzeugen so ein frisches Hörerlebnis. Komplettiert werden sie durch das unprätentiöse Bassspiel des jungen Schönegg\, der eine breite Palette von Spieltechniken auf dem Kontrabass präsentiert. Im Loft werden die drei Musiker\, die alle Mitglieder des Kölner Kollektivs für Improvisation und aktuelle Musik „IMPAKT“ sind\, zum ersten Mal ihre Interpretation des klassischen Klaviertrioformats präsentieren. Ein kammermusikalischer Improvisationsabend steht bevor. \nPhilip Zoubek (*1978) in Tulln\, Österreich.\nKaum ein anderer lotet so weitgehend die Klangvielfalt des Klaviers aus\, was ihm zum Ausnahmepianisten sowohl unter den aufstrebenden österreichischen Improvisatoren als auch innerhalb der Kölner Szene macht. Ausgehend von „traditionellen“ Präparationstechniken á la Cage\, verfügt Philip Zoubek über ein breites Arsenal an Präparationsmaterial (Aluminiumtöpfe\, Plastikutensilien\, Glaskrüge\, etc…)\, die klanglich vom perkussiven\, geräuschhaften bis zu elektronisch anmutenden Sounds reichen. Zusammenarbeit mit Frank Gratkowski\, Wilbert de Joode\, Thomas Lehn\, Herb Robertson\, Paul Lytton\,…  \nEtienne Nillesen (*1978)\nis a performer and composer from The Netherlands currently based in Cologne/ Germany.\nWith an instrumental and physical approach\, he explores and pushes the limits of the natural acoustics of the snare drum using conventional playing techniques as well as extended techniques and preparations.\nHis work involves elements of conceptual and spontaneous composition\, structured improvisation\, performance\, and sound poetry. Alongside his own work\, Etienne is a performer of contemporary music and works with composition\, movement and snare drum in a number of interdisciplinary projects.\nBesides being active as a musician he is a professor at the ArtEZ institute of the Arts in Arnhem/ The Netherlands.  \nStefan Schönegg (*1986) in Heppenheim geboren\, in Konstanz aufgewachsen.\nStudierte klassischen Kontrabass und Jazzkontrabass in Berlin und Köln\, lebt und arbeitet in Köln. Aktiv im Spannungsfeld von Improvisierter Musik\, Jazz\, Neue Musik. Auftritte in ganz Europa\, u.a. beim Moers Festival\, Warschauer Herbst\, Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Darmstadt.
