Rhythmisch geprägte Melodien\, eingewickelt in vielfältigen Klangfarben zeigen die reiche Kultur beider Länder\, die sein Spiel kennzeichnen.\nZusammen mit dem Bassisten Patrick Florencio und dem Schlagzeuger Antoine Duijkers präsentiert er u.a. Stücke aus seiner letzen CD Carabalí\, einem Album\, das die Improvisation und den Dialog zwischen der Essenz afro-kubanischer Rhythmen und dem Einfluss der zeitgenössischen Musik- und Jazzszene hervorhebt.\nWährend seines Studiums in Havanna war Yaniel Matos Teil vieler populärer Orchester des Timba-Genres der 90er Jahre in Kuba. Im Jahr 2000 zog er nach Brasilien\, wo er sich als vielseitiger Musiker und Musikproduzent der Musikszene von São Paulo anschloss.\nEr hat sechs eigene Alben aufgenommen und ist in zahlreichen Festivals weltweit aufgetreten.\nIn diesem Konzert wird Yaniel als besonderen Gast seinen Freund und Cellisten Gunther Tiedemann dabei haben. The rich culture of both countries can be heard in his playing and the way of approaching the colors of his sound.\nAccompanied by the bassist Patrick Florencio and the drummer Antoine Duijkers he presents music from his latest CD Carabalí\, an album that highlights the improvisation and conversation between the essence of Afro-Cuban rhythms and the influence of the contemporary music and jazz scene.\nDuring his university studies in Havana\, Yaniel Matos was part of many popular orchestras of the Timba genre of the 90’s in Cuba. In the year 2000 he moves to Brazil where he joins the music scene of São Paulo as a versatile musician and music producer.\nHe has recorded six own albums and participated in numerous festivals around the world. In this concert Yaniel will have a special guest his friend and cellist Gunther Tiedemann. They both maintain a continuous connection on the cello\, which the audience will be able to feel in this encounter.
