Januar diesen Jahres verstarb der Trompeter\, der (auch) das Multiple Joy[ce] Orchestra von Anfang an begleitete\, vollkommen unerwartet. Sein improvisatorischer Input und seine interpretatorische Originalität setzte vielen Stücken ein Glanzlicht auf.\nIn unterschiedlicher Art und Weise gehen die Stücke des Abends auf Udo Molls Schaffen ein\, sei es durch zitieren von Werkausschnitten\, durch Zuspiel oder andere Verarbeitung seiner Aufnahmen\, oder ganz und gar assoziativ. His improvisational input and interpretive originality put a shine on many pieces. In different ways\, the pieces of the evening address Udo Moll’s oeuvre\, be it by quoting excerpts of his works\, by playing or otherwise processing his recordings\, or entirely associatively. \nThus\, the MJO would like to bow once again to this extremely versatile and idiosyncratic musician\, who will certainly be missed in the Cologne scene. \nWe can expect music that is harmonious\, contemplative\, chaotic and stirring\, as much in terms of composition as improvisation.
