Vielmehr werden Kompositionen und Arrangements des Kölner Detlev Haimerl dargeboten\, die eher dem Jazz-Standard-Kontext entstammen und auch dem Mainstream verbunden bleiben. Das gemeinsame Band dieser Stücke bildet eine Stimmung\, die mit der Bretagne assoziiert ist\, jenem Landstrich ganz im Nordwesten Frankreichs\, der einstmals als das Ende der Welt galt.\n„Der Bretagne fühle ich mich verbunden\, und ich bin oft und gern dort. Information about prices\, ticket reservations and our opening times can be found here. \nOn this evening\, the audience will not hear Breton music. Rather\, compositions and arrangements by Detlev Haimerl from Cologne will be presented\, which come more from the jazz standard context and also remain connected to the mainstream. The common bond of these pieces forms a mood associated with Brittany\, that stretch of land in the very northwest of France that was once considered the end of the world.\n„Brittany is something I feel connected to\, and I like to be there often. Perhaps it has given me something of itself on these visits\, and I have (hopefully) in turn given the songs something of there – something of the haunted\, of the legends and calvaires\, but also of the radiant\, the glow of the colors\, of sky and sea\, heather and lichen-covered granite.“\nI’m looking forward to all the musicians coming together to make the pieces sound\, and to you coming to get involved….
