Seit 2013 lebt er in Leipzig. Zunächst als Studierender  und seit einigen Jahren als freischaffender Musiker. 2019 erschien das Debüt Album von STAX (aufgenommen im LOFT) auf ACT Music. He has been living in Leipzig since 2013. First as a student and since a few years as a freelance musician. In 2019\, the debut album of STAX (recorded at the LOFT) was released on ACT Music. Also in 2019 Max Stadtfeld had the opportunity to open the Bauhaus Festival in Berlin in Michael Wollny’s „Bau.Haus.Klang“.
