Seit dem gemeinsamen Studium ab 2017 an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig kotnnte die Band sich sehr forciert mit künstlerischen Einflüssen und Inspirationen auseinandersetzen.\nUnter dem alten Namen DasRundeDreieck spielten sie viele Konzerte\, eine Tour 2019\, nahmen im April 2021 ihr Debütalbum auf\, welches im Juni 2022 veröffentlicht werden soll und gewannen zuletzt den Mitteldeutschen Jazzpreis.\nAuf ihrer neuen CD sind die Gedanken Christopher Dells um den Begriff der Improvisation und die von ihm vorgeschlagenen Differenzierungsmöglichkeiten von großer Bedeutung. Das Konzipieren von ungewöhnlichen Formen erweitert die Organisationsmöglichkeiten. Deshalb wird hier nicht nur über Formen improvisiert\, auch die Formen werden improvisiert. Es geht um eine neue Qualität von Offenheit\, die elementar wird und nicht mehr an Schemen wie Thema-Improvisation-Thema ausgerichtet ist.\nDer CD-Titel STRG + X adaptiert die Tastenkombination für Ausschneiden aus der Computersprache\, mit der etwas in einen Speicher getan wird\, um es von da wieder abrufen und in anderen Umgebungen einsetzen zu können. Dies ist das vielleicht wichtigste Qualitätsmerkmal dieser sehr durchdachten und dennoch alles andere als verkopften Musik: Sie ist sich ihrer Mittel bewusst\, kann sie drehen\, wenden und neu anordnen. Dann kreieren er-improvisierte Zusammenhänge ihre eigenen Formen\, spielen auf unverbrauchte Weise mit originärem Material. The conception of unusual forms expands the possibilities of organization. Therefore\, not only are forms improvised here\, but the forms are improvised as well. It is about a new quality of openness\, which becomes elementary and is no longer oriented to schemes like theme-improvisation-theme.\nThe CD title CTRL + X adapts the key combination for cutting from computer language\, with which something is put into a memory in order to be able to retrieve it from there and use it in other environments. This is perhaps the most important quality feature of this very thoughtful yet anything but cerebral music: it is aware of its means\, can twist\, turn and rearrange them. Then er-improvised contexts create their own forms\, play with original material in an unconsumed way. This is a creative process that is not satisfied in juggling with set pieces and for which pure virtuosity is too little.
