Bis jetzt entstanden sechs großformatige Kompositionen\, die im Kölner LOFT aufgeführt und aufgenommen wurden: \nMaster and Margarita nach dem gleichnamigen Roman von Mikhail Bulgakov – 2001\nNature Morte nach dem Gedicht von Josef Brodsky – 2001\nA Few Incidences nach Kurztexten von Daniil Kharms – 2004\nReadings – Gileya revisited basierend auf Werken der russischen Futuristen – 2019\nReadings – Red Cavalry basierend auf Isaak Babels „Die Reiterarmee“ – 2019\nSimon Nabatov – No Kharms Done basierend auf Texten von Daniil Kharms – 2022 \nIm neuen 2-teiligen Projekt Raging Bulgakov vertont Nabatov zwei Erzählungen des russischen Schriftstellers Michail Bulgakov. \n„Die verfluchten Eier“ ist eine Warnutopie voll beißender Kritik und vielen Themen die als böse Voraussagungen wirken. Seien es Teufels Spielchen\, „man-made“ Fehler\, Hybris und Ignoranz – das Resultat ist erschreckend. Statt gewöhnlicher Hühner züchtet ein ambitionierter Kolchose-Direktor mit Hilfe des neuartigen „Strahl des Lebens“ monströse Mutanten (riesige Schlangen\, Krokodile und Strauße)\, die\, sich unaufhörlich vermehrend\, alles auf ihrem Weg töten und sich Richtung Moskau bewegen. Die Regierung will die anstehende Katastrophe nicht eingestehen und publik machen. Die Wissenschaftler sind ohnmächtig und ahnungslos. Be it devil’s games\, „man-made“ mistakes\, hubris and ignorance – the\nresult is frightening. Instead of ordinary chickens\, an ambitious collective farm director uses the novel „Ray of Life“ to breed monstrous mutants (giant snakes\, crocodiles and ostriches) that\, multiplying ceaselessly\, kill everything in their path and move toward Moscow. The government does not want to admit and publicize the impending catastrophe. The scientists are powerless and clueless.
