Nur selten erklingen dabei jedoch harmonisierte Linien\, wie man sie von einem derartigen Saxophonsatz aus der Bigbandtradition heraus erwarten könnte. Vielmehr suche ich beim Schreiben neuer und Adaptieren bereits bestehender eigener Stücke nach neuen und manchmal unerwarteten Möglichkeiten\, die Klangfarben miteinander zu kombinieren. So treten von Zeit zu Zeit einzelne Instrumente in den Hintergrund\, während sich andere solistisch präsentieren oder aber die Band gibt sich als geschlossene Einheit\, die gemeinsam Melodien\, Voicings und Grooves erforscht. However\, harmonized lines\, as one might expect from such a saxophone section in the big band tradition\, are rarely heard. Instead\, when writing new pieces and adapting existing ones\, I look for new and sometimes unexpected ways to combine timbres. From time to time\, individual instruments fade into the background while others take center stage\, or the band presents itself as a cohesive unit exploring melodies\, voicings\, and grooves together. Look forward to a varied sound experience\, with a certain amount of improvisation left to chance at every moment! \nThe live recording and the recordings on the following day will take place as part of the LOFT competition recording project 2025\, which the band won last year.
