Beide verbindet eine Liebe zum Great American Songbook – sie lassen sich dabei von den Einflüssen großer Vorbilder wie John Taylor und Norma Winstone inspirieren. Gemeinsam erforschen sie Jazz Standards und erschaffen dabei spontan und kommunikativ ihre eigenen Interpretationen.\nNico und Aitzi haben sich 2022 im Rahmen des Exzellenzprogramms Gutenberg Jazz Collective in Mainz kennengelernt\, wo die beiden u.a. mit Becca Stevens\, Kris Davis und Billy Hart arbeiteten. Seitdem kreuzen sich ihre musikalischen Wege immer wieder in verschiedenen Ensembles\, was ihre Zusammenarbeit stetig vertieft und bereichert.\nNun also im Trio starten die Musiker diesen Sommer und Herbst mit ersten Konzerten.\nDas Trio widmet sich intimen Arrangements eigener Kompositionen\, sowie neu interpretierten Jazz Standards. Both share a love of the Great American Songbook – they are inspired by the influences of great role models such as John Taylor and Norma Winstone. Together they explore jazz standards and create their own spontaneous and communicative interpretations.\nNico and Aitzi met in 2022 as part of the excellence program Gutenberg Jazz Collective in Mainz\, where the two worked with Becca Stevens\, Kris Davis and Billy Hart\, among others.
