Konzeptuelles Kernstück ist das innovative Instrumentarium\, bestehend aus diversen selbst gebauten Synthesizern wie der virtuellen Posaune\, einer umfunktionierten Computertastatur oder einem drastisch modifizierten Otamatone. \nhttps://nowmylifeissweetlikecinnamon.com/ \nIn den letzten fünf Jahren hat das Ensemble unterschiedlichste Programme erschaffen\, die von einer Popmusikshow mit ikonischer Frontfigur\, über ein fragwürdiges Stück Musiktheater\, bis hin zu einer musikalischen Hommage an den fiktiven japanischen Vocaloid-Popstar Hatsune Miku reichen. \nhttps://nowmylifeissweetlikecinnamon.bandcamp.com/album/nyan \nWährend diese Shows von außen betrachtet manchmal doch recht seltsam erscheinen mögen\, gibt es jedoch immer einen eisernen Griff von selbstreferenzieller Logik\, der all die losen Teile zusammenhält\, oder zumindest ist es das\, was die Band glaubt. \n\nKlingt so: \n\n\nMoritz Wesp – trombone\, electronics\nPablo Gīw – trumpet\, electronics\nEric Haupt – guitar\, electronics\nVictor Gelling – bass\, electronics \nFrom January 2024 on\, the concerts at the LOFT start round 8.00 pm\n\nFurther information about prices\, ticket reservations and our opening times can be found here. \nNOW MY LIFE IS SWEET LIKE CINNAMON is the brainchild of experimental musicians Moritz Wesp and Eric Haupt.\nThe aim of the ensemble is to create original\, programmatic works that take an unorthodox approach to composition and improvisation. The conceptual centerpiece is the innovative instrumentation\, consisting of various self-built synthesizers such as the virtual trombone\, a converted computer keyboard or a drastically modified Otamatone. \nOver the past five years\, the ensemble has created a wide variety of programs\, ranging from a pop music show with an iconic front figure\, to a questionable piece of musical theater\, to a musical homage to the fictional Japanese vocaloid pop star Hatsune Miku. \nWhile these shows may seem quite odd at times from the outside\, there is always an iron grip of self-referential logic that holds all the loose pieces together\, or at least that’s what the band believes.
