Ein echter Engergizer für Nils Wograms rundes Jubiläum. \nhttps://nilswogram.com/bands/nostalgia-trio \nAls Wogram das Trio Nostalgia gründete\, ergab die Summe aus Sound und Bandnamen einen  bewussten Kontrapunkt zu den übrigen Projekten des Posaunisten. Er selbst ist indes weder als Musiker noch als  Privatmensch ein Nostalgiker\, und das trifft auch auf seine beiden Kompagnons zu. Alle drei leben im Hier und Jetzt und wollen daran teilhaben\, die Musik weiterzuentwickeln. Dafür braucht Wogram keine Überschrift. Er entzieht sich allen Reflexen und Erwartungen\, will weder provozieren noch bewahren\, sondern bringt einzig zu Gehör\, wonach es ihn und seinen Mitspielern selbst verlangt. Manche Melodien auf „Things We Like To Hear“ fangen einfach Stimmungen ein\, andere fordern zum Bewegen oder Mitsummen auf\, wieder andere erinnern vielleicht an einen guten\, alten Film Noir. Sein Ziel besteht darin\, Intellekt und Körper zusammenzubringen. „Things We Like To Hear“ ist der nächste Schritt in diese Richtung. „Das Solo ist bei uns kein Selbstzweck\, sondern ein Vehikel\, den Gesamtsound der Gruppe zu transportieren. In dieser Hinsicht lerne ich viel von meinen Schülern und Studenten. Sie brauchen keine langen Erklärungen\, sondern legen einfach los. Das hilft mir ungemein\, auch die eigene Arbeit zu reflektieren. Ich will alle Generationen einfangen. He himself\, however\, is not a nostalgic person\, neither as a musician nor as a private person\, and this is also true for his two companions. All three live in the here and now and want to participate in developing the music further. For this\, Wogram needs no headline. He eludes all reflexes and expectations\, neither wants to provoke nor to preserve\, but only brings to ear what he and his fellow players are longing for. Some melodies on „Things We Like To Hear“ simply capture moods\, others ask you to move or hum along\, still others may remind you of a good old film noir. His goal is to bring intellect and body together. „Things We Like To Hear“ is the next step in that direction. „For us\, the solo is not an end in itself\, but a vehicle to convey the overall sound of the group. In this respect\, I learn a lot from my students. They don’t need long explanations\, they just get going. That helps me immensely to reflect on my own work as well. I want to capture all generations. That’s why the emotionality has to be coherent\, otherwise the music becomes an empty shell.“
