Moritz Stahl und seine international besetzte Band Transient Bodies gehen ins kalkulierte Risiko\, indem sie den undefinierten Spielraum zwischen dem Wimpernschlag eines Augenblicks und der Ausdehnung der Ewigkeit erkunden. \nDer Saxophonist Stahl vermeidet stilistische Festlegungen und öffnet sich für das Unerwartete\, das er stets mit spielerischer Intensität\, konzeptioneller Neugier und komplett egobefreiter Expressivität ausfüllt. Jedes Album\, jedes Konzept\, jede Band ist eine Neuauslegung seiner musikalischen Persönlichkeit. Greifbar ist bei all diesen Unternehmungen der Drang\, sich selbst konsequent in Frage zu stellen und das Errungene loszulassen\, weil hinter dem Horizont schon die nächste Herausforderung wartet. Moritz Stahl geht voll ins Risiko und nimmt seine Hörer dorthin mit. \nFür seine Band Transient Bodies hat Stahl drei Musikerpersönlichkeiten eingeladen\, mit denen er noch nie gespielt hat. An der schweizerischen Pianistin Marie Kruttli schätzt er den vorbehaltlosen Umgang mit elektronischer wie akustischer Musik. Den französischen Bassisten Etienne Renard lernte Stahl vor zehn Jahren kennen\, hatte aber noch nie Gelegenheit\, mit ihm zu spielen. Die koreanische Schlagzeugerin Sun-Mi Hong komplettiert das Quartett mit ihrem schier unbegrenzten Spektrum an rhythmischen Timbres. Seinem Grundcharakter entsprechend ist Transient Bodies ein akustisches Quartett\, das aber elektronische Elemente organisch einwebt.
