Wen wollen wir ansprechen? Welchen Effekt provozieren wir durch das\, was wir da machen? Welchen wünschen wir uns? \nhttps://jonaskaltenbach.com/moodoom/ \nEbenso wie in Gedanken oder Gesprächen über Fragen wie diese der Raum für Spekulationen obligatorisch ist\, will das Projekt den beteiligten Musizierenden auch spielerisch den größtmöglichen Raum bieten – zur Improvisation innerhalb eines mal mehr\, mal weniger konkreten und festen Rahmens\, zum persönlichen und gemeinsamen Ausprobieren von verschiedenen Herangehensweisen an Musik. \nEinflüsse sind die Expression von amerikanischem Free Jazz\, Hip Hop Hooks\, die harmonische Landschaft europäischer Klassik\, Afrokubanische Musik\, ein geweitetes Verständnis von Rhythmus und Groove sowie das immer mitschwingende Gefühl\, von der zeremoniellen Musik am Lagerfeuer eines Naturvolkes gar nicht so weit entfernt zu sein\, wie wir das oft glauben. \n\n\n\nBenedikt Jäckle – Saxophone\nLucie Graehl – saxophone\nLeandro Irarragorri – piano\nJakob Obleser – bass \nSimon Bräumer – percussion\nJonas Kaltenbach – drums\n\nInformation about prices\, ticket reservations and our opening times can be found here. \n„Making good music“ and trying to become self-aware of the moods we trigger in listeners – these are main motivations behind MOODOOM\, Jonas Kaltenbach’s new composition and band project.\nHow might a person who has never heard music before perceive the sounds we create? Who do we want to address? What effect do we provoke by what we are doing? Which one do we wish for? \nMOODOOM \n\nJust as the space for speculation is obligatory in thoughts or conversations about questions like these\, the project also wants to playfully offer the participating musicians the greatest possible space – for improvisation within a sometimes more\, sometimes less concrete and fixed framework\, for the personal and collective trying out of different approaches to music. \nInfluences are the expression of American free jazz\, hip hop hooks\, the harmonic landscape of European classical music\, Afro-Cuban music\, a broadened understanding of rhythm and groove\, as well as the always resonating feeling of not being as far removed from the ceremonial music around the campfire of a primitive people as we often think.
