Das Bandprojekt der beiden Multiinstrumentalistinnen Anna-Lucia Rupp und Fama M’Boup entwirft einen völlig eigenen Klangkosmos\, der Einflüsse zwar zulässt\, diese aber nie als bloße Zutat begreift.\nIhr Musik bewegt sich im Spannungsfeld zwischen menschlicher Stimme\, akustischen Instrumenten\, freier Improvisation und dem Einsatz moderner elektronischer Möglichkeiten: fragmentierter\, elektroider Soul\, verspielter\, vielsprachiger Global Pop\, die Ergriffenheit des Folk und ein dem Jazz entlehnter Ansatz der Improvisation innerhalb einer festen Struktur. All diese disparaten Elemente vereinigen sie in erstaunlich konzisen\, direkten und emotionalen Pop Songs. Alles was dabei auf der Bühne zu hören ist\, entsteht dabei im Moment\, nichts ist vorproduziert. \nhttps://www.oliciamusic.com/ \nNatalie Greffel ist Komponistin\, Sängerin und Bassistin. Sie ist die Gründerin und hauptsächliche Koordinatorin von New Past\, einer sich ständig weiterentwickelnden Gruppe von Kreativen\, die Musik einsetzt\, um unsere globale und persönliche Vergangenheit (neu) zu erforschen und unsere Visionen für alternative Zukunftsvorstellungen zu stärken. Neben New Past hat sie mit Künstlern wie Angel Bat Dawid\, Radio Citizen\, Onom Agemo und Disco Jumpers zusammengearbeitet und zahlreiche Alben als Komponistin\, Texterin und Bassistin veröffentlicht.\nIm vergangenen Monat gewann sie den Deutschen Jazzpreis für die beste Gesangsdarbietung des Jahres und schloss ihr Masterstudium in Performance und Komposition an der Wesleyan University ab\, wo ihre Forschung auf schwarzen feministischen Gedanken\, schwarzer kultureller Mythologie und queerer Phänomenologie basierte. \n\n\nMonday Meetings – gefördert von: \n \n \n\nFama M’Boup – voice\, drum pad\, asalato\, piano\, percussion\nAnna-Lucia Rupp – voice\, pocket piano\, synth bass\, piano\, percussion\nNatalie Greffel – voice\, bass \nInformation about our opening times can be found here.\nFree admission!\n►The concert will also be livestreamed for free on YouTube.\ntake me directly to the livestream\n\n\nSo far\, the Monday Meetings have been held under the motto of (re)encounters.\nWith the addition of new members to the curatorial team\, the concept will be expanded this year to include an „extra-musical“ aspect: in addition to the concert part\, the invited artists will be able to choose guests for lectures who they associate with their music or who deal with a topic that concerns them. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOlicía are constantly searching for new ideas with their music\, their songs becoming ever new versions\, forms and explorations of feelings and life circumstances. The band project of the two multi-instrumentalists Anna-Lucia Rupp and Fama M’Boup creates a completely unique sound cosmos that admits influences but never sees them as mere ingredients.\nTheir music moves in the field of tension between the human voice\, acoustic instruments\, free improvisation and the use of modern electronic possibilities: fragmented\, electroid soul\, playful\, multilingual global pop\, the emotion of folk and an approach to improvisation borrowed from jazz within a fixed structure. They unite all these disparate elements in amazingly concise\, direct and emotional pop songs. Everything that can be heard on stage is created in the moment\, nothing is pre-produced. \nNatalie Greffel is a composer\, vocalist and bassist. She is the founder and primary coordinator of New Past\, an ever-evolving group of creatives that uses music to (re)explore our global and personal pasts and strengthen our visions for alternative futures. In addition to New Past\, she has collaborated with artists such as Angel Bat Dawid\, Radio Citizen\, Onom Agemo and Disco Jumpers\, and has released numerous albums as a composer\, lyricist and bassist.\nLast month\, she won the German Jazz Prize for Best Vocal Performance of the Year and completed her master’s degree in performance and composition at Wesleyan University\, where her research was based on black feminist thought\, black cultural mythology\, and queer phenomenology.
