Sie hat sieben Alben unter ihrem Namen veröffentlicht. Ihr neuestes Album Freya (Edition Records\, UK) mit Kris Davis\, Ralph Alessi\, Matt Brewer und Dan Weis wurde im März 2020 veröffentlicht und von der Kritik hoch gelobt.\nTineke ist auf zahlreichen Alben als Gastsolistin zu hören\, zB bei Dianne Reeves\, Terri Lyne Carrington\, Florian Arbenz und Tutu Pouane.\nTinekes persönlicher Stil lässt sich als kraftvoll\, lyrisch\, melodisch und abenteuerlich beschreiben. Die MusikerInnen\, die ich dazu gebeten habe\, können damit machen\, was sie wollen.“ \n\nIn der diesjährigen Ausgabe der Monday Meetings unter dem Motto envision/revision wird das bestehende Konzept der Begegnung durch eine zweitägige Arbeitsphase der Ensembles weiter intensiviert. In den letzten Editionen Ego Nobis und Coalesce hat sich diese “Mini-Residenz” als überaus erfolgreich erwiesen. \nDer Gedanke envision/revision ist\, bisherige Konzepte eigener Projekte mit den diversen Einflüssen der eingeladenen Künstler*innen im Rahmen der Residenz zu vereinen und neue Wege außerhalb der eigenen Komfortzone aufzubrechen. Die große Freiheit der Wahl der weiteren Musik*innen\, verbunden jedoch mit dem Konzept etwas neues zu präsentieren\, wirkt hierbei als Chance und Herausforderung zugleich. Gegensätze wirken ergänzend. \nWir möchten gemeinsam mit den Musiker*innen dieses Phänomen reflektieren und auch wie sich beispielsweise durch die Pandemie bedingte Isolation auf den Schaffensprozess auswirkt und ob dadurch eine wachsende Tendenz zum Individualismus entsteht – oder im Konträren: das Erstarken des Bedürfnisses nach kollektivem\, kreativen Austausch. Die Auseinandersetzung mit dieser Fragestellung wird sowohl durch die musikalische Interpretation der eingeladenen Musiker*innen\, als auch durch Interviews unter Einbezug des Publikums erreicht. \nDiese Pluralität bildet den thematischen Rahmen\, dem sich die Musiker*innen durch ihre kompositorische und improvisatorische Arbeit während der Residenz der Monday Meetings widmen. \nDie vom Kollektiv kuratierten Gäste können zwei Tage die Räumlichkeiten des LOFTs nutzen um ihre Programme zu erarbeiten und mit einem abschließenden Konzert zu präsentieren. So möchten wir den Künstler*innen einen Raum bieten\, den gegenseitigen kreativen Austausch zu vertiefen und ihre musikalischen Konzepte intensiv mit ihren Kolleg*innen zu erarbeiten. She released seven albums as a leader. Her latest album Freya (Edition Records\, UK) featuring Kris Davis\, Ralph Alessi\, Matt Brewer and Dan Weis was released in March 2020 and received great critical acclaim.\nTineke appears on numerous albums as a guest soloist of albums by Dianne Reeves\, Terri Lyne Carrington\, Florian Arbenz and Tutu Pouane.\n\nTineke’s personal style which can be described as powerful\, lyrical\, melodic and adventurous and some of her mentors are Greg Osby\, Wayne Shorter and Terri Lyne Carrington. \n\n\nTineke: „I like to write multi-layered music with conceptual elements. The musicians I asked to join are free to do with it what they want.“ \n\n\n\n\nIn this year’s edition of the Monday Meetings\, themed envision/revision\, the existing concept of encounter will be further intensified by a two-day working phase of the ensembles. In the last editions Ego Nobis and Coalesce this „mini-residency“ has proven to be extremely successful. \nThe idea behind envision/revision is to combine previous concepts of own projects with the diverse influences of the invited artists* within the framework of the residency and to break new ground outside one’s own comfort zone. The great freedom of choice of additional music\, combined with the concept of presenting something new\, is both an opportunity and a challenge. Opposites have a complementary effect. \nTogether with the musicians\, we would like to reflect on this phenomenon and also on how\, for example\, isolation caused by the pandemic affects the creative process and whether this results in a growing tendency towards individualism – or in the opposite: the strengthening of the need for collective\, creative exchange. The examination of this question is achieved both through the musical interpretation of the invited musicians and through interviews involving the audience. \nThis plurality forms the thematic framework to which the musicians* devote themselves through their compositional and improvisational work during the Monday Meetings residency. \nThe guests\, curated by the collective\, can use the premises of the LOFT for two days to develop their programs and present them with a final concert. In this way\, we would like to offer the artists a space to deepen the mutual creative exchange and to work out their musical concepts intensively with their colleagues. The selection of the invited artists is intended to reflect the diversity of an open and lively music scene. \nFor documentation purposes\, the concert will be professionally recorded in sound and vision and published in consultation with the artists.
