Das gleichnamige\, rund 70-minütige Werk modularer Form ist das erste Kapitel eines groß angelegten mehrteiligen kollektiven Kompositions- und Recherche-Prozesses. Bei der Arbeit zehrt das Duo aus der langjährigen gemeinsamen Erfahrung in diversen Kontexten improvisierter und komponierter Musik und konzipiert eine genre-übergreifende Musik von heute – formal vieldeutig und mit einer transversalen Klangsprache. \n———————— \n© Rebecca ter Braak\nDas Duo Debacker/Javaid bildet den Kern einiger etablierter Formationen in verschiedensten Kontexten wie dem Trio Abstrakt (Ensemble für Neue Musik; zahlreiche Festivalauftritte sowie Zusammenarbeiten mit Größen wie Isabel Mundry\, Franck Bedrossian\, Marco Momi\, Michael Edwards\, Mark Andre\, Peter Ablinger\, Hans Thomalla\, Pierluigi Billone u.v.m.)\, dem Free Jazz Quartett UCHRONIA\, impakt (Kölner Kollektiv für Improvisation & Aktuelle Musik) oder Debacker/Hübsch/Javaid. \nDas Duo zehrt musikalisch aus einer fundierten gemeinsamen Entwicklung & Recherche in zahlreichen Projekten – zudem studierten die beiden gefragten Solist*innen gleichermaßen klassische Musik & Jazz (beides an der HfMT Köln) und Neue Musik (Folkwang UdK Essen). The eponymous\, approximately 70-minute work of modular form is the first chapter of a large-scale multi-part collective composition and research process. In their work\, the duo draws on their many years of collective experience in diverse contexts of improvised and composed music to conceive a genre-crossing music of today – formally ambiguous and with a transversal sonic language. \n———————— \nThe duo Debacker/Javaid forms the core of several established formations in diverse contexts such as Trio Abstrakt (ensemble for new music; numerous festival appearances as well as collaborations with greats such as Isabel Mundry\, Franck Bedrossian\, Marco Momi\, Michael Edwards\, Mark Andre\, Peter Ablinger\, Hans Thomalla\, Pierluigi Billone and many more)\, the free jazz quartet UCHRONIA\, impakt (Cologne collective for improvisation & current music) or Debacker/Hübsch/Javaid. \nThe duo draws musically from a well-founded joint development & research in numerous projects – in addition\, the two sought-after soloists studied both classical music & jazz (both at the HfMT Cologne) and new music (Folkwang UdK Essen).
