Die Rolle vom Interpreten und Komponisten verlieren in der Konstellation an der Bedeutung. Àlvares und Maingardt versetehen Improvisation als Mittel für etwas Neue \n\n\nPaolo war vor allem in den 90er Jahren im LOFT sehr präsent\, und gewann 1991 mit einer Aufnahme aus dem LOFT den 1. Preis im Wettbewerb Musik kreativ (unter mehr als 1.2000 Einsendungen\, den 2. Hiller \nMaingardt absolvierte sein Kompositionsstudium bei Prof. Beil an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. 2014/2015 war er Stipendiat der Ensemble Modern Akademie. Außerdem erhielt er einen B.Eng. in Medientechnik und hat einen M.A. in Medien- und Kulturanalyse von der HHU Düsseldorf. \nMaingardt setzt sich in seiner Musik mit den Grenzen ästhetischer Prinzipien zeitgenössischer Musik und auditiver Wahrnehmung auseinander und rückt oft gesellschaftspolitisch relevanten Themen in den Fokus. In der Komposition RUSH\, Kompositionsauftrag des Deutschen Musikrates für Bundesjugendorchester\, für großes Orchester\, verstärktes Ensemble und Elektronik geht es um Protest im 21. Jhd.. In der Komposition „Blindfolded“ für VR-Brille\, Kopfhörer und Elektronik\, ein Kompositionsauftrag der Donaueschinger Musiktage\, geht es um die Relation „mensch-virtualität“. Die theatrale Musik-Skulptur BLUR antizipiert „Unschärfe“ als ein Phänomen\, das in vie­len Bereichen unsere Lebensbilder prägt\, unseren Blick auf die Welt beeinflusst und letztlich auch Gesellschaft verändert. Transfleisch – eine Musiktheaterproduktion\, die an den Grenzen der akustischen und visuellen Wahrnehmung experimentiert. Maingardts stilistische Mittel bedienen sich popkultureller Einflüsse\, was seiner Musik eine ungeheure Direktheit verleiht. Seine Stücke für Ensembles und Solo-Instrumente werden gerade in dem CD-Portrait der Reihe Edition Zeitgenössische Musik dokumentiert. \nIn Kooperation mit der Choreographin Anna Konjetzky sind neun abendfüllende Tanzperformances entstanden\, die sowohl in der freien Tanzszene als auch von Häusern wie Münchener Kammerspiele\, Saarländisches Staatstheater koproduziert wurden. Neben europäischem Ausland wurden die Stücke weltweit von Panama\, über Mexico\, Südafrika\, Pakistan\, Laos aufgeführt. \nMaingardts Arbeiten wurden auf zahlreichen Festivals und Häusern aufgeführt\, u.a.
