Eines aber bleibt: die Vorfreude auf einen ganz besonderen\, einmaligen Quintett-Auftritt.\nEingeladen hat Pablo Held die Trompeterin und Flügelhornistin Heidi Bayer\, deren warmes\, obertonreiches Spiel sich perfekt mit Matthew Halpin ergänzt – wobei der Saxofonist diesmal ausschließlich auf der Flöte zu hören ist\, die er schon mehrfach für betörende\, sphärische Stimmungsszenarien nutzte. In ihren Exkursen können sich die beiden auf die Rhythmusdichte des virtuosen Schlagzeugers Leif Berger und des Bassisten Doug Weiss verlassen – mit Weiss hat Pablo Held einen der spannendsten Vertreter der New Yorker Jazzszene (über Berlin) nach Köln gelockt.
