Er war der erste\, der ein komplettes Soloprogramm mit diesem Instrument präsentierte. Darüber hinaus ist er bekannt für seine offene Herangehensweise an das Klavier und an die Musik im Allgemeinen\, immer in der Tradition verankert\, ohne sich zu sehr in ihr Koresett zu zwängen. Neben dem Fender Rhodes Solo gehören The Red Hill Orchestra (ein Trio mit Ellery Eskelin und Dan Weiss) und ein Duo mit Benoît Delbecq zu seinen eigenen Projekten. \nhttp://www.jozefdumoulin.com/ \nDavid Helm (geboren 1990 in Weilburg a.d. Lahn) ist ein in Köln lebender komponierender Improvisator. Sein Hauptinstrument ist der Kontrabass\, Prof. Dieter Manderscheid zählt zu seinen wichtigsten Lehrern.\nAufgewachsen ist er als Sänger in einem Knabenchor\, wo ihm sein Chorleiter bei einer Bach-Probe sagte: „Wenn du nichts fühlst – da ist die Tür*“. In dieser Zeit war er auch lauten Bands auf feuchten Kleinstadt-Rockfestivals ausgesetzt.\nDavid arbeitet in den Bereichen frei improvisierter\, experimenteller\, geräuschhafter und zeitgenössischer Musik. Er konzentriert sich auf langfristige Projekte und Kollaborationen als Leiter und Mitwirkender\, schreibt Musik und ist immer auf der Suche nach neuen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten. In den letzten Jahren hat er seine Stimme wiederentdeckt und erforscht diese\, zusammen mit Klavier\, E-Gitarre & diversen Objekten im Gesang – sowie in improvisierten Kontexten. Wenn nicht gerade Pandemie ist\, tourt David meist mit großartigen Bands und inspirierenden Menschen durch die Welt. He was the first to present a full solo program featuring the instrument. Furthermore he is known for his open and luminous approach to the piano and to music in general\, always anchored in tradition without being burdened by it. Besides the Fender Rhodes solo\, his own projects include The Red Hill Orchestra (a trio with Ellery Eskelin and Dan Weiss) and a duo with Benoît Delbecq. \nhttp://www.jozefdumoulin.com/ \n\nDavid Helm (born 1990 in Weilburg a.d. Lahn) is a Cologne-based composing improviser. His main instrument has been the double bass\, which he studied under the tuition of Prof. Dieter Manderscheid.He grew up singing in a boys choir\, where his choirmaster told him whilst rehearsing Bach: „if you don’t feel anything\, there’s the door*“. During this period he was also exposed to noisy bands at soggy small town rock festivals.David works in the fields of free improvised\, experimental\, noise & contemporary music. He focuses on longterm projects and collaborations as a leader and collaborator\, writes music and is always looking for new ways of expressing himself. Over the last years he rediscovered his voice and is exploring that\, together with the piano\, electric guitar & several objects in song – as well as in improvised contexts. When there is no pandemic David is usually touring a fair amount on earth with great bands and inspiring people.
