Gezeigt werden Ausschnitte aus dem Dokumentarfilm „Die DDR hat es (nie) gegeben“ von Victor Gelling (they/them)\, der einen einfühlsamen Blick auf das kulturelle Erbe und die Herausforderungen ostdeutscher Identität wirft.\nGemeinsam mit Bassist:in und Komponist:in Victor Gelling sowie der Komponistin und Saxophonistin Theresia Philipp diskutieren wir anschließend über das Zusammenspiel von ostdeutschen Einflüssen in der international geprägten Deutschen und Kölner Jazzszene. Excerpts from the documentary film ‘Die DDR hat es (nie) gegeben’ by Victor Gelling (they/them) will be shown\, which takes an insightful look at the cultural heritage and challenges of East German identity.\nTogether with bassist and composer Victor Gelling and composer and saxophonist Theresia Philipp\, we will then discuss the interplay of East German influences in the internationally influenced German and Cologne jazz scene. Both share their experiences with changing cultural influences and attributions\, which not only influence their musical work.\nThe event aims to offer an insight into the interweaving of identity\, history and music and to encourage dialogue about the cultural complexity of our city. \n
