Dabei offenbart die Musik einen klar erkennbaren Einfluss des amerikanischen Straight-Aheads. Der Bandsound ist erdig\, warm und die Band swingt mal forsch\, mal fein durch die meist klaren und formal übersichtlich gehaltenen Kompositionen. Im Vordergrund steht der melodiöse Charakter der Stücke und das spontane\, freie Zusammenspiel in einer reduzierten\, transparenten Formation.\nIm Quartett werden die beiden Programme Elephants Marching On und Moods in einem neuen Gewand dargeboten. Die Band featured den Rosenheimer Ausnahme-Saxophonisten Florian Trübsbach\, den Kölner Bassisten Matthias Akeo Nowak. In doing so\, the music reveals a clearly recognizable influence of American straight-ahead. The band sound is earthy\, warm and the band swings sometimes briskly\, sometimes finely through the mostly clear and formally clear compositions. The focus is on the melodic character of the pieces and the spontaneous\, free interplay in a reduced\, transparent formation.\nIn the quartet\, the two programs Elephants Marching On and Moods are presented in a new guise. The band features the exceptional Rosenheim saxophonist Florian Trübsbach\, the Cologne bassist Matthias Akeo Nowak. Also based in Cologne is guitarist Philipp Brämswig\, who with his unique musical interpretation opens up further possibilities for the band’s rich tonal facets.
