DESCRIPTION:Richard Brenner – Piano\nJoan Chávez – Bass\nMoritz Baranczyk – Schlagzeug \nspecial guest: Christian Ugurel – Tenorsaxophon  \n\n„Over the mighty Magdalena\, a lengthy project of the sea\, its islands of feather and sand cry it’s raucous call to the suns’ light.“ Nicolás Guillén \nDas Trio interpretiert Kompositionen und Arrangements von Joan Chávez\, die sowohl von lateinamerikanischer Musik\, als auch von zeitgenössischen und modernen Komponisten des Jazz beeinflusst sind. Das Programm umfasst Rhythmen aus Kolumbien und Argentinien\, wobei viel experimentiert wird. \n\n\nObwohl sich das Trio ganz neu zusammengeschlossen hat\, findet jeder Musiker seine eigene Stimme und Aufgabe in der Band\, und bewahrt sich die Freiheit individueller Improvisation und eigener Interpretationen.
