Die Singer/Songwriterin kommt mit ihren neuen Songs ins LOFT – mit brilliantklarem Gesang\, tiefgehenden Texten und Musik vom Allerfeinsten. Bei diesem Konzert präsentiert die Band das Ergebnis der Arbeit an den neuen Songs\, die im September im Studio live für das neue Album aufgenommen werden. Heute zum ersten Mal exklusiv für das Kölner Publikum in der neuen Besetzung mit Mike Roelofs und Joon Laukamp. \nWork in Progress! \nwww.hannahkoepf.com  \nDer musikalische Kosmos\, den die Kölner Singer/Songwriterin mit ihren Songs erschaffen hat\, bewegt sich zwischen Folk\, New-Orleans-Soul\, Americana\, Jazz und Southern Country. Und es klingt bei Hannah Köpf so natürlich\, als habe sie schon als Kind nie etwas anderes gehört als diese uramerikanischen Gattungen.\n„Texten ist harte Arbeit\, ein echtes Handwerk“\, sagt die studierte Jazz-Sängerin. „Ich möchte mit meinen Texten Emotionen wecken“\, sagt Köpf. „Aber auch politisch schreiben\, ohne dass man es gleich merkt. Man fragt sich schon: was ist das für eine Welt\, in der meine Tochter aufwachsen muss?“ Ihre ohnehin stark persönlich gefärbten Texte hat das beim letzten Album „Cinnamon“ geprägt. „Golden Leaves“ nimmt die Perspektive ihrer Tochter ein\, und wie sie später womöglich über ihre Eltern denken mag. Der Titelsong „Cinnamon“ ist eine Hommage an ihre eigene Kindheit: der Geruch von Zimt transportiert sie sofort die Küche der Großmutter. Leben\, Tod und Familie – diese Themen dominierten schon das hochgelobte Album „Lonely Dancer“.\nJetzt kommt Hannah Köpf mit neuen Songs im Gepäck\, das Album wird im Mai 2025 erscheinen. Dazu kommt der brillantklare Gesang von Hannah Köpf\, ihre Fähigkeit\, mit ihrer Stimme mühelos Genregrenzen zu überschreiten. Doch ist es ebenso bemerkenswert\, mit wie viel Dynamik\, Wucht und Soul diese Songs musikalisch gestaltet sind. And it sounds so natural with Hannah Köpf\, as if she had never heard anything other than these original American genres since she was a child.\n“Lyrics are hard work\, a real craft\,” says the trained jazz singer. “I want to arouse emotions with my lyrics\,” says Köpf. “But I also want to write politically without people realizing it straight away. You do ask yourself: what kind of world is this that my daughter has to grow up in?” Her already strongly personal lyrics were shaped by this on her last album “Cinnamon”. “Golden Leaves” takes the perspective of her daughter and how she might think about her parents later on. The title track “Cinnamon” is a tribute to her own childhood: the smell of cinnamon immediately transports her to her grandmother’s kitchen. Life\, death and family – these themes already dominated the highly acclaimed album “Lonely Dancer”.\nNow Hannah Köpf is back with new songs\, the album will be released in May 2025. Hannah Köpf’s brilliantly clear vocals and her ability to effortlessly transcend genre boundaries with her voice are just as remarkable. But it is equally remarkable how much dynamism\, power and soul these songs are musically crafted with. Her partner Tim Dudek\, a trained drummer\, composed the music with her. \n
