Pei Ann Yeoh & Elisabeth Coudoux\nMusique concrète ist eine Kompositionstechnik\, die Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts in Frankreich entwickelt wurde und bei der mit aufgenommenen und auf Tonträgern gespeicherten Klängen komponiert wird. Mit Jazz concrète greift das Quartett Glotze mit den beiden Streicherinnen Pei Ann Yeoh und Elisabeth Coudoux als Gästinnen die Idee dieser Technik auf und transformieren diese in ein idiosynkratisches Jazzidiom.\nSelbstbewusst entern die Musiker:innen ein noch unbekanntes Territorium aus europäischem Free Jazz der 1970er-Jahre\, dem New Yorker NoWave der beginnenden 1980er und den sogenannten „Anderen Bands“ der ausgehenden DDR vor 1990 wie zum Beispiel Tom Terror & Das Beil oder Der Expander des Fortschritts.\nDas Energielevel der Glotze-Musik ist enorm\, Virtuosität bedeutet hier keine technische Exekution\, die Songs stecken ein weites Feld ab zwischen Disziplin und Dekonstruktion. With Jazz concrète\, the quartet Glotze\, with the two string players Pei Ann Yeoh and Elisabeth Coudoux as guests\, takes up the idea of this technique and transforms it into an idiosyncratic jazz idiom.\nThe musicians confidently enter a still unknown territory of European free jazz of the 1970s\, the New York NoWave of the early 1980s and the so-called “Other Bands” of the late GDR before 1990\, such as Tom Terror & Das Beil or Der Expander des Fortschritts.\nThe energy level of the Glotze music is enormous\, virtuosity does not mean technical execution here\, the songs cover a wide field between discipline and deconstruction.
