Das Esla Trio um den Pianisten Luca Hohmann hat sich Anfang des Jahres in einem Landhaus bei Euskirchen für viele Tage getroffen und ihren ganz eigenen Sound entwickelt, der nun auf ihrem Debüt-Album Landscapes erscheinen ist.

Das Esla Trio fängt Bilder ein und wandelt sie in Klanglandschaften um.

Die Reise durch diese Musik will zum Träumen einladen, das Gefühl für Zeit und Dauer, für Raum und Ort könnten ins wanken geraten oder uns klarer bewusst werden, wenn wir uns einlassen und vertrauen.
Die Musik entsteht zu großen Teilen spontan oder fußt auf minimalistischen Strukturen, die viel Freiheit dafür zulassen, entstehen zu lassen, was kommen will. So werden Ort, Zeit und Publikum auf einfühlsame Art in das Entstehen miteingebunden.

Release concert: Esla Trio – Landscapes

The Esla Trio around pianist Luca Hohmann met for many days at the beginning of the year in a country house near Euskirchen and developed their very own sound, which has now been released on their debut album Landscapes.

The Esla Trio captures images and transforms them into soundscapes.

The journey through this music is an invitation to dream, the sense of time and duration, of space and place could falter or become clearer to us if we let ourselves in and trust.
Much of the music is created spontaneously or is based on minimalist structures that allow plenty of freedom to let whatever wants to emerge. In this way, place, time and audience are sensitively integrated into the creation process.

…The view from a mountain into the distance – colorful layers of near and far fading to varying degrees…

…The morning train ride – people forming a temporary unit in an anonymous context…

…The walk along the nearby stream – treetops swaying in the wind, the sun seeking its way to us through the branches…

…The flight of a space shuttle through space – lights, astronomical objects and fleeting thoughts rush past us…
