Javier Vásquez Rodríguez © Maximilian Mann & Silviu Guilmam\nDie neuste Veröffentlichung des Esla Trios feiert im Mai 2024 seine Premiere auf etlichen Bühnen Deutschlands.\nDie Musik\, die die drei Kölner Musiker um den Pianisten Luca Hohmann letztes Jahr zusammen aufgenommen und veröffentlicht haben\, hat etwas geradezu magisches. Es wird sich Zeit genommen\, die Musik darf sich entwickeln und nimmt die Hörer*innen mit auf eine Reise durch imaginäre Landschaften. Es ist etwas darin\, dass einen bewussten Gegenpol zu unserer immer schnelllebigeren Zeit setzen möchte. \nLuca Hohmann schreibt dazu:\n„Erst dann\, wenn sich die reine Gegenwärtigkeit äußern darf\, spüre ich wie ein Erleben des Echten und Persönlichen zu Tage treten kann. Insofern interessiert mich die Wahrnehmung von Zeit in der Musik besonders. Ich finde es immer wieder faszinierend\, welch starken Einfluss Musik ausüben kann und in diesem Sinne habe ich das Gefühl\, dass meine Musik das Zeitempfinden „positiv manipulieren“ könnte.“ \nhttps://www.luca-hohmann.de/esla-trio \nDas Album ist mit Landscapes betitelt\, allerdings war die Idee\, Landschaften zu vertonen\, nicht von vornherein gesetzt\, sondern ergab sich aus dem kreativen Schaffensprozess der drei Musiker. Die Musik wurde in in einer ländlichen Umgebung in der Nähe Kölns entwickelt\, und so wurden verschiedene Einflüsse aus natürlichen und auch urbanen Landschaften in die Musik integriert. \n\nBandcamp:\nhttps://lucahohmann.bandcamp.com/album/landscapes \n\nXander Zimmermann vom Label Incipit Novum\, bei dem das Album erschienen ist\, schreibt darüber:\n„Das ist erfüllt\, empathisch\, human\, wunderbar atmend\, in einer subtilen Weise nah an der Natur. Time is taken\, the music is allowed to develop and takes the listener on a journey through imaginary landscapes. There is something in it that wants to set a conscious counterpoint to our increasingly fast-moving times. \nLuca Hohmann writes:\n„Only then\, when pure presence is allowed to express itself\, do I feel how an experience of the real and personal can come to light. In this respect\, I am particularly interested in the perception of time in music. I always find it fascinating what a strong influence music can exert and in this sense I have the feeling that my music could „positively manipulate“ the perception of time.“ \nhttps://www.luca-hohmann.de/esla-trio \nThe album is entitled Landscapes\, but the idea of setting landscapes to music was not a foregone conclusion\, but a result of the creative process of the three musicians.
