DESCRIPTION:Reinhard Gagel – piano\, moog synth\nGino Robair – dr\, perc \n\nDas Eröffnungskonzert des diesjährigen Improvisiakum wird der amerikanische Perkussionist Gino Robair\, der als Gastdozent für das Improvisiakum geladen ist\, im Duo mit Reinhard Gagel realisieren. \nGino Robair has performed and recorded with Tom Waits\, Anthony Braxton\, John Zorn\, Nina Hagen\, Terry Riley\, Lou Harrison\, John Butcher\, Derek Bailey\, Peter Kowald\, Otomo Yoshihide\, and the ROVA Saxophone Quartet. He is one of the „25 innovative percussionists“ included in the book Percussion Profiles (SoundWorld\, 2001)\, as well as a founding member of the Splatter Trio and Pink Mountain. \nDas Improvisiakum ist eine jährlich stattfindende internationale Werkstatt für improvisierte Musik in Köln. Gino Robair wird dort zum Thema „Working with techniques for large groups for instrumentalists and singers“ arbeiten.
