Die drei Musiker bieten improvisierte Musik vom feinsten und auch wenn sich Wallace und Herzog aus New York kennen und Herzog und Nillesen schon seit Jahren zusammen spielen\, darf man sich auf die übliche Aufregung eines first meetings einstellen! \nEli Wallace ist Pianist\, Improvisator und Komponist und lebt in Brooklyn\, wo er eigene Projekte leitet\, mit anderen gleichgesinnten Künstlern zusammenarbeitet und die interdisziplinäre Performance-Reihe Invocation mitkuratiert.\nSeine Arbeit als Pianist zeigt sein breites Spektrum an Erfahrungen aus Klassik\, Jazz und freier Improvisation\, wobei er aufwändige Klaviervorbereitungen einbezieht\, von denen John Lewis (The Guardian) sagt\, dass sie „…die Grenzen des präparierten Klaviers verschieben.“\nIn seinen Kompositionen setzt er Notationsstrategien ein\, um die Art und Weise\, wie Musiker Klang erzeugen\, und die Art und Weise\, wie sie interagieren\, zu erweitern. The three musicians offer improvised music at its finest and even though Wallace and Herzog know each other from New York and Herzog and Nillesen have been playing together for years\, you can expect the usual excitement of a first meeting! \nEli Wallace is a pianist\, improviser\, and composer who resides in Brooklyn\, NY\, leading his own projects\, collaborating with other like-minded artists\, and co-curating the interdisciplinary performance series Invocation. His work as a pianist displays his vast milieu of experiences from classical\, jazz\, and free improvisation\, incorporating elaborate piano preparations that John Lewis (The Guardian) says is „…pushing the boundaries of the prepared piano.“ His compositions employ notational strategies to broaden how musicians produce sound and the ways in which they interact.
