DESCRIPTION:Jeff Parker – electric guitar\n Scott Fields – electric guitar \n\nSchon seit 1997 haben die beiden Gitarristen Parker und Fields zusammengearbeitet\, das Duo haben sie im Jahr 2002 gegründet. Als Composer Duo sind sie viel durch die USA getourt\, die erste CD Song\,Songs\,Song erschien auf dem Chicagoer Label Delmark. Jetzt arbeiten sie an der zweiten CD die in diesem Jahr erscheinen soll. Parker ist seit vielen Jahren Musiker der Chicagoer Szene und in zahlreichen Gruppen aktiv\, z.B. ist er Mitglied in der Association for the Advancement of Creative Musiicians\, zu denen auch Anthony Braxton und das Art Ensemble of Chicago gehören. Weieter Bands waren das New Horizons Ensemble\, Joshua Redman’s Elastic Band\, das Nicolas Payton Quartet\, Brian Blade’s Fellowship und das Fred Anderson Quartet.\nDer amerikanische Gitarrist Scott Fields lebt seit einigen Jahren in Köln und fällt im Loft immer wieder durch außergewöhnliche Projekte auf\, wie zuletzt dem „Large Ensemble „ im Januar oder dem Trio mit Paul Lytton und Achim Tang im Februar. Zu den Musikern\, mit denen er zusammengespielt hat\, zählen Marilyn Crispell\, Hamid Drake\, Michael Formanek\, John Hollenbeck\, Rob Mazurek\, Myra Melford\, Joseph Jarman u Elliott Sharp. \nJeff Parker and Scott Fields have worked together since 1997 and they formed the Parker-Fields duo in 2002. Both compose material for the duo\, which sits squarely in the avant-jazz camp. The duo has performed throughout the United States. Their first CD\, “Song Songs Song\,” is on the Chicago label Delmark. The guitarists are preparing material for their second release\, which is scheduled for 2009. \nParker is best known as a member of the post-rock group Tortoise\, the groove-based\, Miles Davis-influenced group Isotope 217\, and the post-bop jazz group the Chicago Underground Orchestra. Parker is a full-time member of Chicago’s Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians) whose members include Anthony Braxton and the Art Ensemble of Chicago.
