Motive tauchen auf\, verschwinden und erscheinen in neuen Zusammenhängen wieder\, wodurch kontinuierliche Spannungsbögen entstehen\, die klassische Songformen hinter sich lassen. Sie verstehen das Konzert als kollektiven Erfahrungsraum\, an dem Publikum\, Ort und Atmosphäre zu aktiven Bestandteilen dieser Performance werden. \nJulius Gawlik ist Saxophonist und Klarinettist. 2014 wurde er als herausragender Solist der Temple University in Philadelphia ausgezeichnet und 2019 gewann er am Jazz Institut Berlin den Karl Hofer Jazzpreis. Er tritt national und international mit Musikern wie Jim Black\, Jeff Ballard\, Tim Hagans\, George Garzone und dem Ensemble Modern auf und ist seit 2021 zudem festes Mitglied der renommierten NDR Bigband. Seit 2025 studiert er als DAAD-Stipendiat seinen Master in New York. \nhttps://www.juliusgawlik.com/ \nThorbjørn Stefansson\, geboren und aufgewachsen in Dänemark\, ist Bassist mit derzeitigem Wohnsitz in New York City. Neben seinem eigenen Quartett mit Kit Downes\, Camila Nebbia und Phillip Dornbusch\, arbeitet er als Sideman mit Musikern wie George Garzone\, Loren Stillman\, Jonas Burgwinkel oder Jacky Terrasson. 2021 erhielt er den JIB-Jazzpreis Berlin in der Kategorie Herausragender Solist. \nMarius Wankel ist Schlagzeuger und lebt in Berlin. Sein Spiel vereint Improvisation und Komposition und er bewegt sich dabei frei zwischen Jazz\, experimentellen und zeitgenössischen Klangwelten.\nAls Mitglied des Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra wurde er 2025 mit dem Deutschen Jazzpreis in der Kategorie Bester Live-Act ausgezeichnet. Motifs emerge\, disappear\, and reappear in new contexts\, creating continuous arcs of tension that transcend classical song forms. They view the concert as a collective space of experience\, where the audience\, venue\, and atmosphere become active components of the performance. \nJulius Gawlik is a saxophonist and clarinetist. In 2014\, he was honored as an outstanding soloist at Temple University in Philadelphia\, and in 2019\, he won the Karl Hofer Jazz Prize at the Jazz Institut Berlin. He performs nationally and internationally with musicians such as Jim Black\, Jeff Ballard\, Tim Hagans\, George Garzone\, and the Ensemble Modern\, and has been a permanent member of the renowned NDR Big Band since 2021.
