Die drei Musiker aus Vorarlberg feierten letztes Jahr ihr 15-jähriges Bestehen und gaben gemeinsam Hunderte von Konzerten auf der ganzen Welt. Nach der Veröffentlichung von drei Alben – Random/Control (Traumton 2010)\, Think of Two (Traumton 2014) und Tour d’Horizon (ACT 2018) – ist die Band bereit für ein neues Programm und neue Abenteuer.\nDas neue Album wurde im Zuge einer der legendären Livesessions im Liechtensteiner Studio Little Big Beat Studio aufgenommen und erschien Anfang 2025. \nDas Album Think of Two\, das den beiden Musiklegenden Thelonious Monk und Hermeto Pascoal gewidmet ist\, beeindruckte Hermeto selbst so sehr\, dass er einen Beitrag dazu leistete und extra für Random/Control in Brasilien aufnahm. \nDas Markenzeichen des Trios sind und bleiben die vielen Instrumente – nur drei Musiker\, aber weit über 20 Instrumente. Andreas Broger spielt Klarinette\, Bassklarinette\, verschiedene Saxophone und Flöten und singt nun gelegentlich sogar. Johannes Bär beherrscht nahezu alle Blechblasinstrumente – Sousaphon\, Tuba\, Posaune\, Trompete\, Alphorn\, aber auch Didgeridoo\, Beatbox und Schlagzeug – und manchmal sogar alles gleichzeitig. \nInspiriert von dieser Vielfalt an Klangmöglichkeiten hat David Helbock\, der sich auf das Klavier und etwas Perkussion konzentriert\, viele neue Stücke komponiert und dabei Gedichte von William Blake\, Emily Dickinson und anderen vertont. \nNun hat das Trio Filippa Gojo eingeladen\, um genau diese Gedichte zu singen. \nFilippa Gojo\, ebenfalls Vorarlbergerin\, lebt und studierte in Köln und ist eine in der deutschen Jazzszene sehr gefragte\, außergewöhnliche Sängerin. The three musicians from Vorarlberg celebrated their 15th anniversary last year and have played hundreds of concerts together around the world. After releasing three albums—Random/Control (Traumton 2010)\, Think of Two (Traumton 2014)\, and Tour d’Horizon (ACT 2018) – the band is ready for a new program and new adventures.\nThe new album was recorded during one of the legendary live sessions at Little Big Beat Studio in Liechtenstein and was released in early 2025.\nThe album Think of Two\, dedicated to the two music legends Thelonious Monk and Hermeto Pascoal\, impressed Hermeto himself so much that he contributed to it and recorded it especially for Random/Control in Brazil. \nThe trio’s trademark is and remains the many instruments they play—only three musicians\, but well over 20 instruments. Andreas Broger plays the clarinet\, bass clarinet\, various saxophones\, and flutes\, and now even sings occasionally. Johannes Bär has mastered almost all brass instruments—sousaphone\, tuba\, trombone\, trumpet\, alphorn\, but also didgeridoo\, beatbox\, and drums—and sometimes even all at once. \nInspired by this diversity of sound possibilities\, David Helbock\, who focuses on the piano and some percussion\, has composed many new pieces\, setting poems by William Blake\, Emily Dickinson\, and others to music. \nNow the trio has invited Filippa Gojo to sing these very poems. \nFilippa Gojo\, also from Vorarlberg\, lives and studies in Cologne and is an exceptional singer who is in high demand on the German jazz scene. She is the winner of the New German Jazz Prize and was appointed professor at the Nuremberg University of Music in 2023. \n  \n
