Neben Kompositionen Schlippenbachs spielt das Quartett Bearbeitungen von Thelonious-Monk- und Eric-Dolphy-Kompositionen. Mit der charakteristischen Melodik\, Rhythmik und der formalen Gestaltung der Kompositionen Monks setzt sich von Schlippenbach seit vielen Jahren in verschiedenen Projekten auseinander\, wie beispielsweise in „Monk’s Casino“\, der Bearbeitung des Gesamtwerks dieses legendären Pianisten und Komponisten.
