Sie studierte ab 2015 neben Schlagzeug auch Journalismus an der Howard University in Washington. Vier Jahre später zog sie nach New York\, wo sie nicht nur ihr Schlagzeugstudium an der Manhattan School Of Music abschloss\, sondern sich auch sofort einen Namen als ästhetisch und stilistisch vielschichtige Schlagzeugerin machte\, die unter anderem mit Jason Moran\, Kenny Barron\, Geri Allen und Terrence Blanchard zusammenspielte. \nDoch auch hier gilt: das Terrain Jazz ist für die junge Künstlerin zu eng\, um all ihre kreativen Vorlieben unterbringen und ausleben zu können. Harris ist auch mit R&B-\, HipHop- und Soul-Acts wie Georgia Anne Muldrow\, Standing On The Corner oder José James zu hören\, zudem ist sie unter anderem Schlagzeugerin im Avantgarde-Jazz-Quartett Being & Becoming des Trompeters Peter Evans zu erleben. Als Komponistin schreibt sie die Musik für Filmemacher/-innen wie Alex Huggins und Elle Clay\, gleichzeitig ist Harris auch interdisziplinär mit Tänzer/-innen und Schauspieler/-innen auf der Bühne zu sehen. As a composer\, she writes the music for filmmakers such as Alex Huggins and Elle Clay\, while Harris also performs interdisciplinarily on stage with dancers and actors.
