It’s a result of the subtlety and freedom of the four musicians‘ senses exploring the relationship between individual and collective identity.\nAll of them have been part of the European jazz and improv scene for a long time: Morgenthaler\, Blumer and Geisser have been persistently creating new soundscapes in Ensemble 5 for over ten years\, while Dell has been developing “neue Neue Musik” with his collective Dell-Lillinger-Westergaard. The quartet emerged from the collaboration between Ensemble 5 and Christopher Dell\, which is documented in the current album The Human Factor on Hat Hut Records.\nAfter touring and recording in the fall of 2024 the band will be back on the road in Germany\, Switzerland and Austria presenting their new album Beyond Scope (Hat Hut) in October 2025. \n\n
