Das war 2010. Es folgten drei Studio-Alben\, die aktuelle Aufnahme produziert von keinem Geringeren als „Johnny V“ Vidacovich\, einer echten Drum-Legende vom Mississippi. \nClaudia Ramos Barreto\, geboren 1999\, wuchs in einer Musiker Familie in Havanna / Kuba auf. Während ihres klassischen Musikstudiums als Geigerin entdeckte sie den Jazz-Gesang. Es folgten zahlreiche Auftritte\, unter anderem ein festes Engagement im renommierten Jazz Café. Information about prices\, ticket reservations and our opening times can be found here. \nFROM THE CRADLE OF JAZZ: NEW SOUNDS FOR THE OLD CONTINENT \nEverything but ordinary: drums\, trumpet and Hammond organ tell of campfires in the swamps of Louisiana and endless nights in Caribbean clubs. \nBenedikt Hesse Trio – that’s Benedikt Hesse on drums\, Jura Wajda on keyboards and bass synthesizer and Volker Deglmann on trumpet\, that’s: wicked jazz sounds\, Caribbean rhythms\, funk\, Latin\, adept improvisations and three congenial instrumentalists who preserve the Southern spirit in sounds over and over again. \nBenedikt was inspired to form this unlikely trio in the most likely place for it: the infamous Maple Leaf Bar\, in New Orleans\, the cradle of jazz. Three studio albums followed\, the current recording produced by none other than „Johnny V“ Vidacovich\, a true drum legend from the Mississippi. \nClaudia Ramos Barreto\, born in 1999\, grew up in a family of musicians in Havana / Cuba. During her classical music studies as a violinist she discovered jazz singing. Numerous performances followed\, including a permanent engagement at the renowned Jazz Café.
